Category: National Socialist

Organizations: Atomwaffen Division, American Nazi Party, National Socialist Liberation Front, Universal Order

Active in Hate: 1966 - Present

Notable Activity: James Mason got his start in organized hate early. In 1966, he joined the American Nazi Party at age 14. He quickly showed himself to be radically violent, being talked out of murdering his high school principal at 16 by his mentor William L. Pierce. Mason committed decades to national socialist causes, edited and publishing multiple newsletters and papers, while rubbing elbows with belligerent extremists like Charles Manson. Obsessed with the need to introduce a state of violent anarchy into the United States to bring about a Nazi-style revolution, Mason praised terrorists like Timothy McVeigh and James Fields Jr. for being heroes of the cause. Mason currently serves as chief advisor to the small but terrifying Atomwaffen Division. While the organization is made up of mostly young men, Mason is revered for his infamous and legendary position in American hate. He serves as one of the last living links to the 1960's national socialist movements which inspired many of today's white supremacist groups. For all his notoriety in hate, Mason lives in acute poverty. Mason resides in Section-8 housing in Denver, Colorado and is regularly seen eating at soup kitchens. Regardless of his economic standing, he remains one of the most violent and dangerous members of the American hate movement in the 21st century.
